What is Flex Rip 'n Run (Rapid Notification 1.0)?
Answer
The Flex Rip ‘n Run program allows a dispatcher who is using the Flex Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) module to send information about a fire or EMS CAD call to an external source.
The interface includes two reports: the Ripnrun report and the Runtime report. The Ripnrun report contains a call’s initial information and is sent when a dispatcher enters the call. The Runtime report is sent when a call is closed and contains the call information and the unit time stamps from the radiolog table for selected 10 codes such as ENROUTE, ARRIVED and COMPLETE.
RipnRun setup files are located at the environmental variable $RIPNRUNDIR.
