Summary
With the recent migration to the WAVE PTX Portal, we have updated the process in requesting a WAVE Demo. It is important to note that in the Wave On Cloud Portal, you would request a WAVE Demo Account. In the WAVE PTX Portal, Demos are requested as a type of license with a type of subscription.
The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the process when requesting a WAVE Demo license for:
a. WAVE PTT Mobile App
b. WAVE PTT Dispatch
c. WAVE Two Way Radio (TLK 100/110/150)
d. WAVE TRBO Radio
e. WAVE Safeguard
This document will walkthrough the two scenarios when requesting a Demo: SCENARIO
1: Requesting Demo as a Reseller SCENARIO
2: Requesting Demo as an Agent

SCENARIO 1: REQUESTING DEMO AS A RESELLER
Resellers can request a Demo by creating a case in Partner Hub. After submitting the case with required information, our Account Team will set up the Demo and inform you when the process is completed.
1. Login to partnerhub.motorolasolutions.com and click on Create New, New Case
2. Select Subscription Management, and click Next
3. Under Type dropdown, select Demo
4. Select the Type of Demo that you are requesting. Under Type of Demo dropdown, select from the following:
a. Wave Safeguard
b. Wave with TLK
c. Wave with Nitro
d. Wave with Ion
Note: Create one case per Type of Demo
Select the Subscription package necessary for the Demo. Under Subscription package dropdown, select from the following:
a. WAVE PTT Mobile App
b. WAVE PTT Dispatch
c. WAVE Two Way Radio (TLK 100/110/150)
d. WAVE TRBO Radio
e. WAVE Safeguard
6. Input the Demo Contract number if you are requesting a new Demo for an existing contract within your Reseller account.
a. A new subscription package cannot be added to an existing contract, however you can modify the quantity of subscription packages within an existing contract
7. Indicate who the demo is for. Resellers select Demo For My Account
8. Select the desired Demo dates in the Date from and Date to fields. Demos are available for a maximum of ninety (90) days.
9. Complete the remaining required fields, indicating Title and Description of the Demo, upload any desired attachments, and click on Create.
10. Make note of the Case Number. You will receive Demo confirmation within five (5) business days of case creation.
ACCESSING NEW DEMO LICENSE
When the demo license has been created, it will be loaded to Partner Hub under Subscriptions.
1. Login to partnerhub.motorolasolutions.com
2. Click Account Management in the top header, then click Subscriptions
3. Click Reseller tab
4. The new contract containing the demo licenses has been added to the table of subscriptions
5. Click the link for the new contract to view the demo license details
6. Click the Allocate Licenses button
7. Search for account name (ex. DEMO-), and select the partner account to allocate the demo licenses to a. If you need to create a new account, click Create New Customer and fill out the required fields. Be sure to include DEMO in the name
8. Licenses are now allocated. Click Manage button
9. Click the three dots on the right, and click WAVE PTX Portal, where you will be able to provision
SCENARIO 2: REQUESTING DEMO AS AN AGENT
Agents can request a Demo for themselves or for customers by creating a case in Partner Hub. After submitting the case with required information, our Account Team will set up the Demo and inform you when the process is completed.
1. Login to partnerhub.motorolasolutions.com and click on Create New, New Case
2. Select Subscription Management, and click Next
3. Under the Type dropdown, select Demo
4. Under Type of Demo dropdown, select from the following:
a. Wave Safeguard
b. Wave with TLK
c. Wave with Nitro
d. Wave with Ion
Note: Create one case per Type of Demo
5. Under Subscription package dropdown, select from the following:
a. WAVE PTT Mobile App
b. WAVE PTT Dispatch

6. Input the Contract number If you are requesting a new Demo for an existing contract.
a. A new subscription package cannot be added to an existing contract, however you can modify the quantity of subscription packages within an existing contract
7. Indicate who the demo is for. Agents can select Demo For End Customer if they are requesting a Demo for a New or Existing Customer. Agents can also select Demo For My Account if they are requesting a Demo for themselves that can also be used for an end-customer.
a. Demo for End Customer: Demo subscription will be created and auto allocated to the end customer, such subscriptions will be visible to the Agent as it will include the Agent ID. Include the name of the customer in the Title or Description
b. Demo for Agent: Demo subscription will be created and visible to Agent in Partner Hub.
i. When Demo license is created, it will be visible in Partner Hub under the Agent tab in Subscriptions
ii. Name of Demo will show 100000 Motorola Solutions for US Partners and 140000 Motorola Solutions Canada Inc. for Canadian Partners
iii. Click into the demo contract
iv. Click Allocate and search for account, or create a new account
8. Select the desired dates in the Date from and Date to fields. Demos are available for a maximum of ninety (90) days
9. Complete the remaining required fields, indicating the Title of the Demo (ex. New Demo for New Customer Account / New Demo for Existing Customer Account), and the Description of the Demo (ex. Please create the demo for New Customer BLT Society customer number 100000000 / Please create the demo for Existing Customer ABC Elementary, contract number 000100000). Upload any desired attachments, and click on Create.
10. Make note of the Case Number for reference.
11. Demo creation confirmation will be within five (5) business days of case creation.
12. When Demo license is created, it will be visible in Partner Hub under the Agent tab in Subscriptions
View when requesting Demo for End Customer: Demo subscription will be created and auto allocated to the end customer, such subscriptions will be visible to the Agent in Partner Hub as it will include the Agent ID.
View when requesting Demo for My Account: Name of Demo will show 100000 Motorola Solutions for US Partners and 140000 Motorola Solutions Canada Inc. for Canadian Partners
13. Click into the demo contract
14. Click Allocate and search for Existing Customer, or Create a New Customer
15. Licenses are now allocated to the customer and customer name will be updated
16. Click Manage button
17. Click the three dots on the right, and click WAVE PTX Portal, where you will be able to provision
