UNC devices are present in the user interface as being noncompliant
Resolution
Bringing a Device to a Compliant State
When and where to use: If devices are present in the user interface as being noncompliant, use this procedure to return the device to a compliant state.
Procedure:
1. Log on to the VMware Smart Assurance Network Configuration Manager.
NOTICE: Access to VMware Smart Assurance Network Configuration Manager is established through the Network Configuration Manager splash screen and sign-on screen. The UNCW home page appears.
2. From the Networks folder, expand Astro 25 Radio Network. Select Sites or Views.
3. Navigate to the device to be made compliant. Right-click the device and select Enforce Policy.
4. From the Tools menu, select Schedule Manager.
NOTICE: When the enforcement has completed, a remedy job is created in the Schedule Manager. To view it, find the job by its name, then click it. On the Task tab, select which job to view. In the Actions in the Task tab, click the row with Push – Configlet (config). After clicking it, go to the Content tab on the right. The Content tab displays the parameters affected by the job.
5. Click the row containing the job. Select Approve in the toolbar.
NOTICE: When the configuration changes have been distributed to the device, a pull of the configuration initiates. Once this pull has been completed, the device returns to the compliance state.
The configuration change is distributed to the device.
NOTICE: The content of the Sites and Views folders do not refresh automatically. Once the configuration pull job completes, refresh the display. To update the state of the device, select Refresh from the Tools menu or press the F5 key
