Client Portal - Reset a user password (User Directions)


Issue

User has forgotten their password to Client Portal. Directions are included in this article for how a user can reset the password.

Environment

Client Portal

Resolution

 

  1. Go to: https://clientportal.vigilantsolutions.com/
  2. Click on ‘Forgot Password?’

  1. Enter your email address

  1. Click ‘Reset Password’
  2. A confirmation popup will appear that a link has been sent to your email address. Click ‘Ok’

  1. Check your email in the inbox (and spam) folders for an email from  ‘no-reply@vigilantsolutions.com’ with a title of ‘Auto-Reset password’ 

Note: Example screenshot below is of a Gmail account, your email box may look different

  1. Open the email and Click on the link to Reset your password

  1. Enter your username, New password and Confirm the password

 

NOTE: Passwords Requirements:

- The minimum password length is (8) characters

- The password requires both Letters and Numbers

 

Click ‘Ok’ when finished

  1. You will receive a pop up window confirmation that your password was successfully changed if password requirements are met. Click ‘Ok’

  1. Go to: https://clientportal.vigilantsolutions.com/ and login with your new password created
