L6Q Camera Firmware 1.1.9

EFFECTIVE DATES: June 26th, 2024

AFFECTED CAMERAS

Cameras that are powered on and connected to VehicleManager or ClientPortal will update automatically within 1 - 7 days. Cameras may become unavailable for a few minutes during the update. No action is necessary from L6Q users and operators.

OVERVIEW

The L6Q Camera firmware is scheduled to be updated with new features and modifications for all L6Q users. These updates enhance the camera’s capabilities, fix known issues, and help enforce security best practices.

NEW FEATURES AND MODIFICATIONS

The L6Q camera firmware has the following new features and enhancements:

Security Updates

A wide range of updates and security enhancements have been implemented to ensure continued compliance with updated CJIS standards, effective October 1st, 2024.

Internal Software Updates

The internal microcontroller (MCU) has been updated to support new features and enhance Performance:

● Updated MCU firmware and SDK software to the latest release.

● Implemented additional carrier SIM and APN identification capabilities for the EMEARegion.

IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES

The L6Q firmware has been updated to include the following improvements and fixes:

● Added support for new camera health monitoring settings and improvements.

● Fixed an issue that could cause battery percentages to be improperly reported in the Mobile Companion app.

● Added support for displaying license plate bounding boxes and plate number overlays separately on overview images generated by the camera.

● Fixed an issue that could cause conflicting time services to be used at once.

● Improved the handling of bad SD memory card blocks to prevent write failure.

● Improvements to the default time period in which additional plate captures are ignored to prevent duplicate records.
