Question: 

In the iTM server manager settings under Update/Installation, there is the option to enter admin users (run iTMClient upgrade by non-administrative user).

Is this setting also necessary if the proxy performs an automatic update via RPU when a non-administrative user is logged on to the PC?

The setting is not needed for automatic proxy update, as it is performed via updater service and iTM client is working on the application basis.
