ALI data was received with invalid data included: %s?*

Alarm only occurred one time and has not repeated.

Resolution

In Activity View verified that all ALI ports connected:


Using Tracer tool with ALI Manager application ran a Trace and verified ALI request Tx are sent and response Rx is being received. Response has valid data with no invalid characters:

 

 

Called the customer to confirm ALI is being received properly and closed the case.

 

If ALI data is still being received with invalid data/characters when receiving 911 calls, the customer will need to contact their ALI Service provider (or if Motorola is the service provider will initiate internally). The ALI Service provider may run a 24-hour test to check for invalid results (testing performed one circuit at a time).
