MOTOTRBO - How to open/View.XCTB file in RM


Issue

This is a new codeplug archive file format XCTB which supersedes old file format CTB2.
Starting with this version, CPS only supports saving archive files in XCTB format. At the same time, Radio Management and CPS allow importing archives in old (CTB2) and new (XCTB) format.



Environment

Radio Management

MOTOTRBO R2, R7, R7a, P8xxxi, M8xxxi, P6xxxi, E86xxi, SLxx, P86xxEx series radios

Resolution

  1. Launch Radio Management > Go to Radio View
  2. Click on the 3-dot icon > Select import


  3. Once the import page open, select the xctb file and click open

  4. Codeplug should be able to open after that
