Mobile Video - ICV - 4RE - ALPR - License Key Requests Not Completed Error

- Inability to complete license key requests.

  • License keys received but not functioning as expected.

Workaround/Fix

Update CDM to CarDetector MobileTM 6.5.230.29 

If you do not see the update prompt, uninstall the current software and install the new version from the links below. Make sure to backup your system.ini file and camera IP addresses.

Background/Details

Two reasons why the message is appearing. 

1. The CDM software is an older version that doesn't auto license.

2. The CDM software isn't connected to Vehicle Manager

Outcome/Recommendation

  • Uninstall CDM: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, locate WatchGuard Mobile LPR, and uninstall it.
  • Download the latest CDM installer: Obtain the latest version of the WatchGuard Mobile LPR installation kit from the provided link in the installation documentation.

  • Install CDM: Run the Setup.exe file from the installation kit and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure to select the correct OCR region during installation. Select "Install all profiles" if unsure.

  • Place Connection File: After installation, locate the system_[YourSystemName].ini file (e.g., system_WatchGuardLyfe.ini) and place it in the root directory of the WatchGuard Mobile LPR installation folder (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\WatchGuard\WatchGuard Mobile LPR).
