How to enable installer logging for APX Radio Management or CPS


Issue

If APX Radio Management or CPS installation has errors or needs additional diagnostics, installer debug logs can be used to troubleshoot.

Environment

APX Radio Management (RM)

APX CPS (Customer Programming Software)

 

Resolution

Open a Command Prompt and use the cd command to change directories to the location of the installation file (see image below).

Run the installation file (ex: setup.exe) command with the /debuglog switch.

Example:
c:\setup.exe /debuglog

This will create a file named InstallSheild.log in the same folder the setup.exe file is located in.
