When accessing TRACES WEB, a warning appears:
Error code: DLG_FLAGS_INVALID_CA
DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_CN_INVALID
Not recommended icon (but offers the option to continue, and it Works)
Suspected that customer's certificate was not installed on the Traces Server and the server was still using the default self-signed certificate.
Customer was advised to try an alternative way to install and verify certificates as a workaround.
Customer provided the TRACES Hardware ID.
TRACES team provided the keystore and trustore passwords.
In the Traces 2.7 Admin Guide we have described a couple of procedures on how to manage certificates (Section 2.4).
The HTTPS certificate needs to be installed in the keystore under the alias traces-webcontainer-https as described in the document.
1. In order to install a private certificate please follow procedure 2.4.1.
2. To verify if a proper certificate was installed please export the public key for the currently installed HTTPS certificate (procedure 2.4.3) and check if it matches the one provided during installation.
3. To install a public certificate (i.e. CA authority) in the truststore please follow procedure 2.4.2.
Customer installed the wildcard certificate and the issue was resolved.
