How to create custom Paging Format:
1. Open PM
A. Go to Consoles Object
B. Integrated Paging Object
C. Paging Format
D. Select Desired Paging Format Type.
E. Write down highest Paging Format ID number, and Paging Format Alias for selected Paging Format for
future reference
2. Select desired Original Paging Format to Modify:
3. Click on Save As:
A. Enter new name for your Custom Paging Format.
B. Enter a new Paging Format ID number that is next consecutive from existing Format IDs written down
from the first window.
C. Skip the Configuration tab
D. Review the Tone Group tab, for the purpose of this procedure, editing the Tone Group Parameters will be
skipped.
4. Select the Tone Timing + to expand
A. Edit the Delay and Duration windows for desired custom delays.
B. For this example we want the Pre-Tone Delay of 1.3 sec, Tone A =2 seconds, Inter-tone Gap =1 second,
Tone B duration - 2 seconds. See window below.
C. Click the Update Button when done editing. It will show the record has been successfully updated as
shown below
5. Assign the Custom Page Format to a specific CCGW Channel Resource.
6. In the PM select Zone
A. Select desired Analog Conventional Site Object
B. Select desired CCGW Object
C. Select the Analog Conventional Channel Object.
7. Select the desired Channel to assign the Custom Page Format to
8. Double Click to Open Channel
9. Select the Paging Format tab.
10. Select the Paging Format Alias
A. Choose the Custom Page Format from the list
B. Click on the Update Button to complete the assignment.
C. Click on the Close Button to exit from the CCGW Channel Assignment window.
11. Back in the PM > Consoles Tab we can now use the associated Paging Format and CCGW Channel to create the
custom page itself
12. Select Page > Integrated Paging > Page then click on the sheet of paper with the ‘+’ icon to open a new Page
13. The Page - User Configuration Manager window appears like below.
14. Enter the next sequential Page ID, Page Alias, choose your custom paging format, Resource type and Security Group.
*** Select the original name of the Paging Format Type as this field does not update to reflect the
modifications done, but it is "Aliased" from the work done in the PM > Zone.
*** Enter the desired Paging Code digits & characters. 9999 for this example
*** NOTE Character requirements for the Paging code, letters must be lowercase ***
15. Click on the Save then Close Button
16. Edit the MCC7500 Elite Admin application to add the custom Page icon to the Dispatch window.
17. Save the Configuration
18. Restart Elite Dispatch choosing the updated configuration file and test operation of the new page. Use a service analyzer Baseband decode function to verify the frequencies and durations of the modified custom pages.
