APX CPS unable to read radio with ASK (Advanced System Key) loaded.


Symptom(s)

APX CPS unable to read radio with ASK (Advanced System Key) loaded.

Issue

Driver was not installed for ASK in Microsoft Device Manager.

Environment

Resolution

Install One Wire Driver to resolve issue. 

  1. Open "Microsoft Device Manager"


  2. Right click on USB Host Adapter and select "update driver" (device more than likely will be marked with an error or mislabeled).


  3.  Select the appropriate install. Use either Search if you just need to update the driver, or Browse if the driver is not loaded at all or incorrectly.

  4. Select the "USB Host Adaptor for 1-wire Networking using Win/USB" and install. After installation is complete a reboot may be required. Installation at this point is complete.
