MOTOTRBO RDAC application fails to start and returns error code 4842


Symptom(s)

RDAC application fails to start and returns error code 4842.

Issue

RDAC application user data file is corrupted

Environment

MOTOTRBO RDAC

Resolution

To resolve Errors 44XX and 48XX when opening RDAC after installation or upgrading:

1. Close RDAC 

2. Delete the file "userdata.sdf" from path C:\ProgramData\Motorola\MOTOTRBO RDAC *Deleting this file will cause the user to lose all their current saved system configurations*

3. Reopen RDAC

4. If the issue persists, uninstall RDAC, delete the folder, and reinstall RDAC. 

5. Make sure RDAC and RDAC Installer are being run with Administrator privileges.

6. Validate that Microsoft Visual C++ files are installed
