WAVE PTX | Dispatcher login steps using 2FA

Dispatcher login issue

Possible issues;

Scenario 1 : Existing Users which are trying to login.

Scenario 2 : Login with new user

Scenario 3 : Unable to generate OTP , QR Code not showing.

Wave PTX on Cloud 

Wave PTX dispatcher Version 12.000.00.00a (V9)

Resolution

Scenario 1:

Existing User which are trying to login.

 

Step 1: Log in to the instance registered

Step 2: Login with the mail id and password, it will redirect to the MFA setup.

 

 

 

Step 3: Install Google authenticator App on the Mobile / Add the authenticator extension to the browser to enable the OTP.

 

Step 4: Open the Authenticator APP → Add a Code → Scan a QR Code / Enter a setup Key .

 

 

 

 

Step 5: Enter the OTP Click Submit.

 

 

 

Scenario 2:

Login with new user.

 

Step 1: Creating a new User in the WoC portal.

 

Login to WoC → Users → ADD USER → WAVE PTX DISPATCH 

 

 

 

Step 2: Enter the required field(*) and Click SAVE

 

 

Step 3: After completing the above steps we can see the user status as below.

 

 

 

Step 4: Login to the email account and click on the link to complete the verification & Setting up the login password.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5: After creating the login password , open with below url for dispatcher login.

Option 1:- Scan QR Code

 

 

 

Option 2:- click Unable to Scan ? option to visible the key .

Step 8: Open the Authenticator APP → Add a Code → Scan a QR Code / Enter a setup Key .

 

 

 

 

-->Make sure that the WDS Realm: number and the User mdn number from WoC portal are the same.

 

 

 

 

Step 9: Enter the OTP Click Submit.

 

 

 

--> Login to the Dispatch console and add an extension if the customer is login for the very first time.

 

 

 

 

 

Scenario 3:

Unable to generate OTP , QR Code not showing when trying to login.

 

Solution:-

 

Step 1: Login to WoC → Users → Select the Dispatch user (eg: MS_Test 2fa) → Click On Device Reset → Click OK to Enable the QR code.
