ALPR - How to Access On demand Training

VIGILANT TRAINING ACADEMY

Vigilant partners can access Vigilant user documentation from Vigilant Training Academy (VTA), Vigilant’s online repository for product training courses and user documentation. 

 

REGISTRATION

A VTA or Vigilant LEARN account is required to access the VTA site. Customers without either will need to register on the VTA site. VTA registrations may take up to 24 hours to be processed. LEARN users do not need to register for a VTA account. 

  1. To register, open a web browser and go to: www.vslea.org. Click on TRAINING ON-DEMAND. This will direct you to the VTA site. 
  2. Click REGISTER in the upper right corner of the page. Fill out the form and click CONTINUE.
  3. Further instructions will be sent to the registered email when the account is ready for use.

 

LOGGING IN

Vigilant LEARN users can click on Login with Vigilant LEARN and use their LEARN credentials to log in. This option will immediately log you in to the VTA site

 

 

Once logged in the following courses are available:

Vigilant VehicleManager Introduction & User Account Management:  The Vigilant VehicleManager Introduction and User Account Management Course introduces Vigilant VehicleManager and how to set up your account. Complete this course first before beginning Vigilant VehicleManager 101 and Vigilant VehicleManager 202.

Vigilant VehicleManager 101: Learn how you can use features such as Quick Search, Locate Analysis, and Hot Plates in your investigations. This course can be taken after the completion of the Vigilant VehicleManager Introduction & User Account Management Course.

Vigilant VehicleManager 201: Learn how you can use Stakeout to search locations for detections, how to create reports in Stakeout, and advanced features throughout Vigilant VehicleManager to locate the hard-to-find plates. This course can be taken after the completion of the Vigilant VehicleManager 101.

Target Alert Service (TAS): Learn how to configure alerts to be received via TAS, connect/manage your TAS Servers, change TAS preferences, and how to respond to alerts using Active Hit Protocol.       

Vigilant Car Detector: Learn how to navigate within Vigilant CarDectector, manage cameras for detections, create hot plates, and how to respond to alerts using Active Hit Protocol.

Vigilant LEARN Manager Agency Manager:  The Vigilant LEARN Agency Manager Course includes four modules – Basic Agency Management, User Management, Data Sharing, & Hot List Creation. 

Vigilant VehicleManager for the Investigator:  Pulling from their previous experience as homicide investigators, learn how to use the Vigilant VehicleManager program to perform geo-based searches, collect & document LPR evidence and corroborate statements, document surveillance             activities, electronically canvass a crime scene, and create Hot Plates. One hour video course. 

Investigative Techniques-Powerful VehicleManager Tips and Tricks for Narcotics Investigations: This one hour video course is tailored for new or experienced users to Vigilant VehicleManager who want to develop new skills for narcotics trafficking cases and see LPR tools in action with real world examples.

MSI LEARNING EXPERIENCE PORTAL

Motorola employees and customers with an MSI email address can access Vigilant user documentation from the Motorola Learning eXperience Portal (LXP), Motorola’s online repository for product training courses and user documentation.

 

REGISTRATION

A Motorola Solutions account is required to access the LXP. Customers without a Motorola Solutions account will need to submit a request to obtain one. Requests may take up to 24-72 hours to be processed. 

  1. Open a web browser and go to: https://learning.motorolasolutions.com. Click REGISTER.
  2. Fill out the form and click SUBMIT.
  3. Further instructions will be sent to the registered email when the account is ready for use.

LOGGING IN

MSI Employees can use their existing login credentials to sign in with Okta and do not need to register for a separate account to access the LXP. Registered users can log in once their registration has been processed.
