Issue
User has forgotten their password to Client Portal. Directions are included in this article for how a user can reset the password.
Environment
Client Portal
Resolution
- Go to: https://clientportal.vigilantsolutions.com/
- Click on ‘Forgot Password?’
- Enter your email address
- Click ‘Reset Password’
- A confirmation popup will appear that a link has been sent to your email address. Click ‘Ok’
- Check your email in the inbox (and spam) folders for an email from ‘no-reply@vigilantsolutions.com’ with a title of ‘Auto-Reset password’
Note: Example screenshot below is of a Gmail account, your email box may look different
- Open the email and Click on the link to Reset your password
- Enter your username, New password and Confirm the password
NOTE: Passwords Requirements:
- The minimum password length is (8) characters
- The password requires both Letters and Numbers
Click ‘Ok’ when finished
- You will receive a pop up window confirmation that your password was successfully changed if password requirements are met. Click ‘Ok’
- Go to: https://clientportal.vigilantsolutions.com/ and login with your new password created
