THE LATEST VIGILANT VEHICLEMANAGER 7.0.215 HAS THE FOLLOWING USER
IMPACTING IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES:
1. Add PDF or Image files to Hot Plates. [VVM-31557] (Figure 1)
● An image or PDF file can now be added to single Hot-Plates. This helps provide more vehicle images or information to agencies receiving hits from the hot plate.
● The file is stored on the VehicleManager server and linked internally for easy access. A link to the file will appear in Custom Hot List Field 6 in alerts and in emails generated by the Hot Plate record.
● To add a file to a Hot List record, go to Hot List Management → Upload Hot List → Add Hot List → Add Hot Plate. Then, click Browse and select the file.
2. Alert When GPS Coordinates Are Changed. [VVM-30690] (Figure 2)
● This feature provides a new alert option that triggers an email when the GPS coordinates of a camera change.
● This allows users to monitor Fixed Cameras (L6Q, CDF, Reaper Standalone) and receive alerts if the camera is moved.
● The alert email includes the GPS coordinates and is identified by the subject line "Client Status Alert: GPS Coordinates Change".
● To access this feature, go to: Agency Management → System Management → Client Status → Monitor Alerts
3. Redirect Users to Email Validation on First Login. [VVM-32074] (Figure 3)
● The purpose of this feature is to enhance security by providing users with a link for their first login, instead of an initial password.
● This link requests confirmation of their email address and sends a password reset for their first login. Failed attempts are audited.
● For first login, users are directed to an email validation page to ensure their email accounts are valid and to prevent unauthorized access.
4. Excessive Detections within Hours/Minutes. [VVM-32430] (Figure 4)
● The Excessive Detection Monitoring feature now supports alerting on duplicate vehicles detected within a certain number of hours and minutes.
● Previously, excessive detection alerts were only available for a specific number of days.
● The new timeframe option within the Excessive Detection Monitoring feature provides more granular alerts and enables users to monitor events more closely for vehicles of interest passing through a specific area.
5. Redefined Status Indications for L6Q Cameras. [VVM-32419] (Figure 5)
● Status indications in Client Status have been updated for L6Q cameras:
● Online: Assigned when the camera has had any communication within the last hour.
● Standby: Assigned when the camera has not had any communication for up to 1-4 hours.
● Offline: Assigned if we send an SMS wake-up after 4 hours and the camera still does not respond to "Online" after 5 hours.
6. Inactive agencies in Data Sharing page [VVM-31301] (Figure 6)
● The Data Sharing interface will now denote Inactive Agencies.
7. Network Time Protocol Synchronization. [VVM-32399] (Figure 7)
● VehicleManager now supports the Network Time Protocol when NTP Synchronization is enabled for an Agency by an Administrator.
● When enabled, all synchronized timestamps that appear in VehicleManager will display with the word Synchronized and reflect the detection’s local time with microsecond accuracy. Timestamps that have not yet been synchronized with an NTP server will display Unverified.
● VehicleManager elements where NTP synchronization status display include:
○ QuickSearch, Stakeout, Locate Analysis, Associated Vehicles, Convoy Analysis
○ Batch Plate Search, Mapping Alert Service, Detection Record Detail, Hit Record Detail
● Output Reports with Vehicle Overview images from the above.
