The new Records UI beta is now available in Flex version 2025.1+. This guide should help users with the first time setup. This is intended be a living document to be updated whenever more guidance is needed on this process.

Installation

NOTE: In 2025.2+, this will be installed for you automatically (under name 'Flex Suite') next to your original Flex client

The new client can be downloaded from the http://server:4080/Spillman/PatchDownload page:

Click this link to download the installer. 

Double click the installer and install this as you would your normal Flex client

Once it launches, you should be at the point where you can enter your server configuration the same way that it exists on your original Flex client. Click edit server to make any changes to the configuration:

NOTE: At this time the new UI is intended to be run alongside the original Flex client, and thus requires the installation of that client on the PC before it can be used. A standalone new client will be worked on in the future.

Troubleshooting

Required permissions for user:

flexangular

Error: Internal Server Error when attempting to use screens

Make sure the port is set to the correct value in the JSON DB Api field on the SpillmanApi page

Find this port in the /sds/ctree/config/services.json (Windows - SpillmanServer\ctree\config\services.json) file under the serverCertificateFilename configuration

Save this setting and attempt to log back in with the new client.
