How to generate a report showing activity of Talkgroups


Issue

Customer's question:
Is it possible to get a report showing inactive (not used) talkgroups in the last six months?

Resolution

It is not possible to generate a report showing a specific list of not-used talkgroups in a given time frame. However there is a possibility to create report(s) that are very close to fulfill this request. 

To generate such report(s) please use the "Zone Historical Reports" application that is a part of PRNM Suite. 
 
There are three option that explicitly refer to talkgroups:
a) Talkgroup at Site
b) Talkgroup at Zone
c) Talkgroup at Zone Summary
 
The below screenshots explain the meaning of statistics names in the generated reports.
"Total Active Calls" in "Talkgroup at Zone Summary"  presents a number of made group calls for a TG in the given time frame. 
In the case of "Talkgroup at Zone"  the desired statistic names are: "Group Calls" and "Emergency Calls".

1. Open "Zone Historical Reports".
 
2. Select one of the following options: "Talkgroup at Zone" or "Talkgroup at Zone Summary"
 
 
3. Enter TG Alias or use wildcards. For example you can enter "*"
 
 
4. Enter the range of TG's IDs. An example below: 
 
 
 5. Enter the time frame.
 
 
6. Select Interval Length. In the event of reports containing a large number of TGs, the suggested value would be "Monthly". 
 
 
7. Select if you would like to have charts added to the report.
 
 
8. Enter System selection and click "Finish". A report will be generated.
 
 
9. To export the report to a file click on the left upper icon:
 
 
10. Choose file format.
 
 
 
For reports containing a large number of TGs, the suggested file format would be "Separated Values (CSV)". It would allow filtering the document for specific values.
