Symptom(s)
- Front camera videos and display intermittently show a blue tint.
Issue
- The M500 front camera exhibited an intermittent blue tint on videos and the display.
Environment
- Product: M500
- Firmware Version: 24.2.1.45
Resolution
1. Check the firmware version of the M500 device. To check the firmware on M500, navigate to Home > Status > System > DVR Version.
2. If a firmware update is pending, restart the M500 device to apply the update.
3. Perform a test video recording to verify if the blue tint issue is resolved. If not, proceed to the next step.
4. Reseat the front camera cables on both the DVR and camera sides. - Note that the Front camera has two Torx T6 Screws. Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, move to the next step.
5. Move the affected camera to a known good vehicle if possible. If the front camera continues to exhibit the issue, RMA the front camera. If not, move to the next step.
6. If the front camera works, move the DVR to a known good vehicle - if it works, RMA cable; if not, RMA the M500 DVR
