Mobile Video - DEMS - VMEX - How To Resolve IP Camera Not Connecting to VMEX


Issue

- IP cameras, specifically Axis cameras, were not connecting to VMEX after upgrading M500 firmware.

- The camera feed was visible in VMEX but displayed a green screen.

Resolution

1. Ensure that the IP cameras are connected to a network switch that is linked to both the M500 devices and their server.

2. Verify that the M500 firmware is updated to the latest version.

3. Assign an appropriate IP address to the camera (e.g., 192.168.10.53).

4. Add the assigned IP address to the configuration and redeploy it to the M500.

5. If the camera feed still displays as green, obtain the correct username and password for the IP camera.

6. Add the correct credentials to the configuration and redeploy it to the M500.

7. Include the URI for streaming in the configuration, which links to the IP camera interface.

8. Redeploy the configuration, ensuring the camera feed is now functional.
