APX radios missing encryption algorithms after migration from RCMT (client based) to RCP (web based) and show Secure Profile GUID as an invalid field

Symptom(s)

1. Service mode does not show any encryption algorithms after migration

2. Secure Profile GUID displays as an invalid field and is shown as all 1's ( 11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111111 )

3. Radio may periodically display error 09/10

Issue

Secure Profile GUID field failed to properly migrate

Environment

APX radios using Astro OTAR Profiles which migrated from RCMT (Radio Central Multi-Tenant) to RCP

Resolution

The issue occurred intermittently on migrations that occurred prior to 5/3/2025, migrations after this date should not be affected.

New reports of this issue should open a case with TSO Astro Devices for investigation.

Workaround for Secure Profile GUID showing as all 1's:

1. Navigate to Secure Configuration > ASTRO OTAR Profile

2. Right click the affected Astro OTAR Profile in CPS bridge and choose the copy option. Highlight the ASTRO OTAR Profile heading in the menu and right click again choosing the option to paste. This should create a copy of the invalid profile with a corrected Secure Profile GUID.

2. Rename the old profile

3. Save / rename the new profile and address any invalid fields

4. Manually correct any incorrect keys found in the Encryption Key List

5. Upload the corrected profile back to RadioCentral.

6. Write the updated profile to the affected radios.

7. Re-keyload the radios to restore encryption functionality.

8. Confirm the encryption algorithms have been restored to the radio in service mode

9. Delete the old corrupted profile
