Symptom(s)
Automatic keying up occurs intermittently without user interaction on PMMN4152A XVE500 RSMs.
Issue
The issue was identified as faulty RSM cables causing intermittent automatic keying up without user interaction. If replacing the cable does not resolve the issue, the fault lies in the head of the RSM, requiring complete replacement of the RSM unit.
Environment
- Accessory: PMMN4152A ( PMMN4152 A ) XVE500 Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM)
- Accessory: CB001138A01 replacement cable
Resolution
1. Identify if the PMMN4152A XVE500 RSM is experiencing automatic keying up without user interaction.
2. Replace the cable with a known good cable from another RSM (replacement cable part # CB001138A01).
3. If the issue persists after replacing the cable, the problem is in the head of the RSM, and the entire RSM unit needs to be replaced.
4. If an RSM has this condition and is under warranty, replace entire RSM if issue is in the head or if the issue is with the cable then just the cable needs to be replaced via the standard warranty process.
Only RSMs that are under warranty will be covered. RSMs outside the warranty will not be covered.
