Background/Details
Notes
● On checkout, pairing with APX radios may have to be redone if V700 does not reconnect
automatically.
● If a V700 is docked in a transfer station and the slot config changes from static IP for DHCP,
if V700 does not connect to EL, V700 needs to be power cycled.
● Pairing information can be lost or overwritten if two cameras are checked out to the same
officer at the same time and the officer attempts to pair with both of the cameras in
succession. If this happens, pairing will need to be forgotten from the phone and the camera
will need to be re-paired using the dual button press.
● This V700 release should be used with SmartControl phone application 25.2.1 or later.
● This V700 release should be used with SmartControl suite 25.2.1 or later. (PC application)
● For WiFi Hotspots, If the record button is pressed at the exact same time the device gets an
invalid hotspot password (error 604), the device will show the notification and the device will
be recording. However, the device may go back to the home screen but not show the blinking
recording dot and event duration ticker. The LEDs will remain red and there is no impact to
recording video and audio.
● For APX Next interoperability, the APX NEXT needs to have FW version R04.20.00 or later
● When pairing a V700 with an iOS phone, if the phone was previously paired to that V700, the
pairing information has to be forgotten in the iOS settings on the iPhone before you are able
to pair with that V700 again.
● Very large RATF requests can cause V700 to reboot.
● The SmartControl player may fail to load on occasion. Retrying should fix the issue.
● USB uploads may take up to 5 minutes to start if V700 was undocked from a WiFi base
and docked to USB base quickly
● Smart Control pairing can occasionally fail on the first attempt, a retry will succeed. If the
retry fails, power cycle the camera.
● USB base connectivity to EL/ELC requires provisioning first.
● When a V700 is part of a group and associated with a WiFi base, if the WiFi icon is not
present, dock/undock or power cycle V700.
● When removing the pairing information on V700 (dual button press) but not on the APX
radio, pairing may fail. The workaround is to manually remove V700 from the APX radio
device list and try again.
● When paired with an APX radio, WiFi association times are longer.
